Dafont.com one of the biggest site, I want to say biggest, for finding different fonts. How can I import a font I download in to Photoshop on Windows?

If you are using a computer from Apple I think you can just drag and drop the file in Photoshop and it will be imported, but in Windows you have to go a different way.

Go to dafont.com and download a font you like, explore the downloaded file in explorer (you should have got a zip file downloaded). Unzip it in a location of your choice.

extract all

Inside the unzipped folder you get a few files, the font, and also a “Term of use agreement”

Now open up the “Control Panel” I’m using windows 10 so I got the shortcut “Win + x” and can then choose Control panel from the menu that is opening up in the bottom left corner, it looks like this: (this commando works on Windows 8 and up)

ctrl-x

Inside the “Control Panel” you have a “Fonts” section

Open the selection, drag the font file you got in the unzipped folder in to ”Fonts”.
Wehn dropping the file inside ”Fonts” it will be installed and after that be available in the different program that using fonts, in our case right now Photoshop.
